  1. Leopold delivered

Leopold is known for providing the best prebuilt mechanical keyboards, and after having owned the 980m for a few days I would fully agree with this. This keyboard is very hefty and has a satisfying weight which provides a solid typing experience. The keycaps are hands down the best I've felt in any prebuilt and I would never replace them tbh, they feel solid, are thick and the space bar even has a pre installed foam dampener... that's impressive. The stabilisers have a tiny bit of rattle, but they take lune really well and are, again, the best I've used on a prebuilt. One weakness is the exclusive use of cherry switches, but I don't think its a big deal, the mx reds have a nice deep tone and are nice to type on. Even the spring - the bane of soldered boards - really isn't an issue here. I have some.durgod and varmilo boards with cherry switches and the ping is horrendous, but on the leopold the ping is dampened a lot and is perfectly tolerable. There's no software, no rgb or gimmicky feature, just a solid mech which honestly could be the end game for those not interested in customs. I really enjoy using this board, the price is very very good compared to crappy gaming keyboards
